Shipping & Compliance
The following provisions supplement Talos Devices' standard Terms & Conditions.
Damaged Merchandise
If a package has been damaged in shipping and the damage is apparent when it arrives at your door, please refuse the delivery. If you have already accepted a package and then discover it has been damaged, contact Talos Devices at support@talosdevices.com immediately. Save all paperwork and packing material with the damaged goods — the carrier may wish to inspect them before processing the claim. Please do not return damaged-in-shipment merchandise yourself; doing so could jeopardize your claim and keep you from receiving credit for the return.
Defective Merchandise
All products purchased directly from Talos Devices are checked for performance and functionality prior to shipment. If you believe you have received defective merchandise, please email support@talosdevices.com for return instructions. A customer service representative will help you determine the appropriate procedure. Defects found after RMA inspection fall under the manufacturer's limited warranty; if the product is found to be non-defective, you are responsible for repair and shipping fees.
Lost Packages
If you believe a package has been lost in transit, please email support@talosdevices.com with the order or invoice number and a list of the missing items. A tracer will be initiated at that time. A claim number will be issued if the carrier does not show delivery within 10 days of the scheduled delivery date. Credit will be issued for the missing merchandise once Talos Devices obtains the claim number from the carrier.
Missing Parts
Should you receive merchandise that is missing a part, please contact us. We will send the missing part from our stock as appropriate. In accordance with a manufacturer's request, we may direct your inquiry to the manufacturer.
Compliance
Talos Devices makes best efforts to screen orders against the Denied Persons and Denied Entities lists, and uses UPS screening in addition to its own restricted list for high-risk locations and fraud reduction.
If abnormal or suspicious activity is detected, Talos Devices will investigate and reevaluate the transaction. Indicators include shipping/billing mismatches, IP address flags, multiple orders in a short period, and unusual customer requests. Requests to change customs values are denied, and the associated order may be canceled.
Fund Prevention
Every order is evaluated internally for risk using:
- Key information — IP address, shipping details, order history, email address, phone number, location, account age, and total order value
- Location mapping — GeoIP location and address lookup (Radaris, Google, and other services)
- Social media and public records — Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn, Accutellus, and similar services
Chargebacks
Talos Devices follows up on and documents every chargeback, works to discover additional information, and may file a police report. When fraud rings are discovered, Talos Devices notifies the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and UPS fraud-prevention teams.
Record Keeping
Five years of Shipper's Export Declarations (SEDs) are retained and available through UPS Paperless.
Complete order history is retained for all orders placed.
Returns
Building a high-performance propulsion or robotic system is complex. The customer is solely responsible for verifying that the selected products are compatible with and suitable for the final aircraft or system. Once compatibility is confirmed, you may proceed with your order. Due to the nature of these products, Talos Devices cannot control quality or performance after products are sold and delivered. Therefore, all device sales are final, except that you may be eligible to request a return if the returned products meet the applicable RMA terms and conditions.
Warranty
Talos Devices offers a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. For UAS commercial or industrial applications, once a BLDC product is installed and powered, regardless of use, it is no longer covered by the standard warranty. Inspect your product thoroughly within 10 business days of arrival. Report any physical damage immediately, retain all packaging and damaged parts, and take clear photographs. You may reject the package if delivery damage is evident and contact your account advisor.
For Talos Devices BLDC products, the warranty period is 90 days from the date of product arrival, unless otherwise stated on the packaging or in the user manual.
